The highrise Beorma mixed use tower created 150,00 square feet of commercial space and over 113,000 square feet of residential space. This included over 140 new city-centre homes and luxury penthouses. The central Birmingham property lies opposite the prominent Bullring, by the Grade II listed St Martin’s Church and within the Birmingham Big City Planning area. Walsh provided our client with a full package of structural and civil services. We were able to bring their vision for this well located development to fruition. There was a real focus on community cohesion and well-being throughout. Our work included a new public square called “Orwell Place” and a new link to the Bullring to the Northwest of the city and Allison Street to the South. The Tower’s distinctive architecture is linked to the original use of the land as Burgage Plots during Birmingham’s earliest days as a settlement.
