The Cantium mixed-use development proposed for South London’s Old Kent Road will provide 1100 homes ranging from three storey townhouses to 49 storey apartment buildings. Plans also include seven storeys of office space, double height retail units, a theatre & an extensive single storey basement. The challenges to construction include a buried cable tunnel and the planned replacement tunnel for the Bakerloo Line extension which both run through the site. Walsh is providing specialist technical support to the development’s planning phase of activity.
